Hello, thanks for stopping by.

My name's Beccy. I am a BACP registered counsellor working with adults and young people in Brighton and Hove, East Sussex.

Whatever you are going through you do not have to do it alone. I can offer you a safe, non-judgemental space where you feel accepted and truly listened to. My role is not to judge you or tell you what to do. I will not analyse or advise you. I will be honest with you at all times. My strong belief is that you are the expert of your world. I won’t hold all the answers, but through the therapeutic relationship you can feel empowered to access your own inner resources.

Counselling is a unique relationship and I am continually inspired by the people I meet. It is a privilege to witness positive change and growth in the lives of others. For some, that might mean being able to live more authentically or having a greater sense of self-belief or acceptance. It could be feeling more open to face challenges and changes in life, having better relationships or feeling more hopeful. Therapy can help you to access your own true potential in life.

Below are some of the issues I can help you with, however, please don't think any problem is too small to bring to counselling. If something is bothering you, it's important.

  • anxiety / stress

  • low self-esteem

  • living authentically

  • bereavement / loss

  • life changes / transitions

  • relationship / friendship issues

  • change in family dynamics

  • depression

  • identity

  • abuse

  • self-harm

  • bullying

  • unhelpful thought patterns

  • work / academic pressure

Experience / Training

I work with many different people from all walks of life and see both adults and young people both in person and online. Alongside my private practice, I also work for Spill, a remote therapy mental health service where I see a diverse range of clients world-wide. I also work at the University of Sussex as a Specialist Mental Health Mentor where I offer long term one-to-one support to students.

I have also worked for Change, grow, live, YMCA’s local counselling service and St. Barnabas’ hospice where I received additional specialist training in bereavement and loss.

I have a degree in person-centred counselling from Brighton University and hold a fully enhanced DBS. As part of my on-going commitment to professional development I have regular clinical supervision and attend regular training and workshops. I am a fully insured, registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to their Ethical Framework.
